DDP - Delivered Duty Paid

- The salesperson gives the merchandise to the buyer, free for import in the place of designated destiny.

- It is INCOTERM that establishes the largest commitment degree for the salesperson, in the measure in that the same assumes all of the risks and relative costs to the transport and delivery of the merchandise in the place of designated destiny.

- It should not be used when the salesperson is not capable to obtain, direct or indirectly, the necessary documents to the import of the merchandise.

- Although that term can be used for any means of transportation, it should be observed that it is necessary the use of the terms GIVE or DEQ in the cases in that the delivery is made in the destiny port (on board of the ship or in the wharf).
