FCA - Free Carrier
- The salesperson completes their obligations when he gives the merchandise, free for the export, under the care of the suitable international transporter for the buyer, in the certain place.
- Starting from that moment, they interrupt all of the salesperson's responsibilities, being the responsible buyer for all of the expenses and for any losses or damages that the merchandise can come to suffer.
- The chosen place for delivery is very important to define responsibilities as for the load and discharge of the merchandise: if the delivery happens in the salesperson's dependences, this is the responsible for the shipment in the buyer's vehicle collector; if the delivery happens at any other agreed on place, the salesperson doesn't take the responsibility for the unloading of her vehicle.
- The buyer can indicate other person not to be the transporter, to receive the merchandise. In that case, the salesperson contains their obligations when the merchandise is given to that suitable person.
- This term can be used in any transport modality.
